I have a physical based blade fall shadow and I discovered my ephemeral edge dusk blade, which has 150% increased physical damage, doesn't affect blade fall one bit. However, the%increased physical damage nodes on the tree does. The weapon doesn't say attack or weapon damage at all. 35% increased Hit Rate for each blade 35% more Damage for each blade +(0-4) to radius Place into an item socket of the right colour to gain this skill. Right click to remove from a socket., Bladefall Bladefall Spell, AoE, Physical Radius: 12 Mana Cost: (12-23) Cast Time: 0.70 sec Critical Strike Chance: 6.00%.

Suggestions on what to combine with Blade Flurry and Cast While Channeling? So far I'm using Bladefall, so the spell uses the physical damage nodes in the passive tree. I thought about using Blade Vortex since the reach of Flurry isn't all that anyway, but Bladefall appears to work better. Any other ideas? Some insight on what to use in a four link? I am using CWC with Bladefall atm. You won't reach max blades with vortex due to cast limit on CWC. And flurry targeting with BF is very good once you get used to it. I strongly recommend tho to upgrade to 5-6L asap. I have CWC Blade flurry, blade fall, crti multiplier, increased crit(to be replaced later) and life leech. With CI and ghost reaver. Currently testing three builds with CWC, Build One: Blade Flurry + CWC + SRS Main Item: The Scourge Class: Necromancer/Assassin Viability: Tier 2 / SC/HC Viable stage of testing is too minimal to make conclusive points. Build Two: Scorching Ray + CWC + SRS Main Item: Searing Touch Class: Necromancer/Inquisitor? Viability: Tier 2 / SC/HC Viable Incredibly strong, high difficulty due to lack of leech and regen without a ZO combo requires more testing but the damage is most definitely there. Perhaps necro portion has to be ignored and it needs to be testing with an inquisitor instead for conc ground+zo and utilizing nearby aura. Build Three: Blight + CWC + Contagion + Essence Drain / Spell Totem + Wither + Increased AoE + Faster Casting Main Item: Breath of the Council + Heretics Veil + Prism Guardian Class: Occultist Viability: Tier 1 / SC/HC Viable, vastly superior and easy to use right from the start. Build One and Two both utilize aura's heavily and get the nodes respectively to reflect that to buff both themselves and the minions. Build two benefits greatly from fire damage scaling to both SRS and itself and utilizes Haste to it's fullest potential. Although cast speed isn't really needed due to SRS being dished out at a consistent pace that is respectable, you are able to ignore cast speed to summon them for the most part and rely mostly on spell damage and fire damage. Build Three has incredible synergy with all the skills together especially with the wither totem out it is able to dish out damage incredibly fast once reaching the blight and wither thresholds that make the poor initial damage worth it. My current test build is Blade flurry/blade fall/ crit multiplier, power charge on crit/ life leech/cwc. Using CI and linked discharge to cast when stunned. Still very experimental but results are promising. Its going a bit slow due to running it on self funded and not being particulary fond of lab. From gear i am using doedrie ring, doriani physical, and ephemeral edge due to having low ES chest. Auras discipline, hatred, herald of ash. Vaal discipline for those o f... moments. Linked to cast when stunned, discharge with increased crit to hit crit cap. Flame golem, enfeeble and vulnerability, frost wall, tempest shield. ' Hard to say without detailed math. You get roughly one cast every 0,35s. That is somewhere like 2,8 cast per second. Given that base cast animation if my memory is correct is 0.9 second for example for bladefall. Soo 50% casting speed nets one cast per 0.45s. Soo this gem at higer level is rough equivalent of level 10 spell echo without less damage. In case of blade flurry you also are not locked in casting animation due to spell echo. The other thing is mana cost. For example my assasin is casting 80 mana blade fall for 12 mana blade flurry. Soo 92 mana for 12. This is roughly 76% mana cost reduction. Atw. With hatred, discipline and herald of ash i have like 60ish mana left. Last edited by Asheren on Dec 13, 2016, 8:16:00 PM | Posted by Asheren on Dec 13, 2016, 7:58:01 PM |
Running a CwC Blade Flurry+Bladefall assassin in breach. Currently buffed at 5k avg damage blade flurry & 8k average damage bladefall (6k/10k with atziris promise), in a 5L with life leech (links are Blade Flurry - CwC - Bladefall - Added Chaos Damage - Life Leech). Using Crown of Eyes and generic phys/crit multi nodes with some dagger specific nodes. Cleared Esh/Xoph breaches so far without problems. ' Its pretty close to my setup atm. Blaqde Flurrry CWC Bladefall Poison Life Leech Increased critical damage. As many flat crit, flat physical, flat multiplier, 6 power charges on CI and Ghost reaver. Discared the discharge. Planing to get anima stone to get fire and chaos golems at same time. ' Guess it depends on the gear/tree and spell damage used, but Added Chaos in my links is simmilar DPS to Concentrated Effect and much better than Increased Critical Damage. [2.2] The Vampire - Tanky 2H Axe Slayer Duelist - /view-thread/1611662 | Posted by Mannoth on Dec 13, 2016, 10:47:49 PM |
' I have tested concentrated effect but in this league its not very usefull. Ability to eradicate half of the screen in one two casts a must for breaches. | Posted by Asheren on Dec 13, 2016, 11:13:12 PM |

Path of Exile (PoE) lets players get creative with their builds, especially with POE Ascendancy Classes. The sky’s the limit. On the other hand, some builds are “up there,” depending on the game’s version. Now, with 3.0, what are the best classes? How’s a build considered to be one of the best? Well, it moves at a comfortable pace, doesn’t easily die on traps, can handle the Shaper and Uber Atziri without difficulty, and is achievable.
Check out our Marketplace to buy POE Items and Orbs.
Golemancer Elementalist
In a previous blog (5 Best Path of Exile Builds), we touched base on this build. To recap, the Elementalist-Golemancer is a reliable offensively (you have a mini-army that helps in dealing damage) and defensively (they serve as meat shields since they can distract mobs into attacking them instead of you). The problem with this build is that it requires rare and pricey gear. Given how effective the Elementalist-Golemancer is, it’s worth every orb you’ll put up for trading.
Ancestral Warchief
Another solid build is the Ancestral Warchief (Chieftain). It’s been reliable before Patch 3.0 and continues to thrive. The Ancestral Warchief is straightforward and efficient in taking down waves of mobs, including bosses. Besides, this build can knock out some framing. Arguably, this is the best class for solo missions.
However, the Ancestral Warchief doesn’t have a shield, so you’re going to have to do some serious dodging, flask spamming, or come up with ways to get wins to restore HP. As the character gets stronger, the gear gets more expensive, but that’s not a problem exclusive to the build. Like all good builds, investing in looking like a lean, mean, fighting machine is wise.

Azure Knight Assassin
If Elementalist and Warchief aren’t for you, then perhaps the Assassin is your cup of tea, especially the “blue” one: the Azure Knight. It’s not exactly a build that’s specifically for this class; rather it’s adopted since it’s originally for Occultist. The bottle line is this: it works. It’s a must-try if you have an Assassin, or if you plan to make one.

What sets this apart from the usual high-critical/high-speed assassin build is its elemental ice damage. You’re going to need gems that boost melee physical and elemental damage and cold penetration. You’ll be able to take out common enemies with one shot, and dealing with stronger opponents will be easier. Now, for the downsides: you’re going to have to come up with a way to regenerate HP; plus, there’s the fact that the assassin is, for lack of a better term, squishy. The Azure Knight is a creative and robust build that you should try if you’re a DPS type.

Dual Wield Gladiator
If you’re not into assassins and would prefer a gladiator instead, there’s the Duelist Gladiator with Dual Wielding and Blade Flurry. Similar to the Assassin build previously brought up, this particular build is more convenient because it deals non-elemental melee damage.
The Dual Gladiator suffers the same softness as other non-Strength-based melee classes. The disadvantage can be somewhat alleviated since you can use a shield for this build rather than going full-on dual wielding. Although it would mean a bit of a dip in DPS, it would improve survivability.
HOWA Raider
If you want balance in attack speed, DPS, and Hand of Wisdom and Action, the HOWA Raider is the best bet. It’s well-rounded (speed, physical and elemental damage, and toughness) since it can have up to 10K+ of energy shield.
As the name suggests, the weapon is a must for this build, and so are these gems: (1) Vaal Haste, (2) Vaal Discipline, (3) Lightning Golem, (4) Whirling Blades, and (5) Spectral Throw. You’ll also need some INT; the weapons deal 1-6 Lightning damage for every 10 INT. The requirement is a disadvantage, so is the build’s need for pricey gear and a faster play style. At the end of the day, it’s a solid build. If you got the time, effort, and funds for it then give it a spin.
